I recently purchased a pre-paid iphone 3G, 8gig here in Germany which they started offering a few months back if I'm not mistaken. I could not see myself being tied to some drawn out overpriced 2 year contract. I paid $510 bucks after the euro conversion and there were absolutely no strings attached other that its Net lock to T-Mobile which the provider could unlock to to be use in all Networks for an extra 50 bucks and still have a 2 year guarantee. Outside of the hacked phones being sold out there, does anyone know if there are any legitimate places in the US Selling the prepaid versions for under $550? Im hearing that AT&T has the grips on the iphone in the states giving folks not too much of a choice in the matter. Can anyone shed some first hand info on this?
